Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is getting closer and closer to a move to Inter Milan, as Juventus don’t have a serious interest.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that the deal to take the Belgian to the Nerazzurri on a permanent basis could get wrapped up within the next five or six days.
Inter are still working to convince Chelsea on a deal for Lukaku after the Blues have rejected their initial offers for the Belgian.
This has naturally led to some uncertainty about whether a deal will be possible between the clubs.
However, according to the Corriere, it is almost certainly only a matter of time before the Nerazzurri can wrap up a deal.
The Nerazzurri are now aiming to sign Lukaku on a permanent basis after Chelsea firmly rejected any possibility of a loan.
According to the Corriere, Inter’s hope is to go no higher than €35 million in their offer. This would include all add-ons.
Romelu Lukaku Getting Close To Inter Milan – Juventus Not Interest
One factor which could potentially complicate things for Inter would be the entry of another club into the race for Lukaku’s signature.
Some reports suggest that Inter’s failure to complete a deal for Lukaku has left the door open for Juventus to make a shock move for the striker.
However, according to the Corriere, there is little substance to reports of Bianconeri interest.
The newspaper suggest that Juventus are very keen to go into next season with their attack focused around Dusan Vlahovic.
Therefore, they are not seriously considering Lukaku as a target.
The only realistic option for the Belgian is a return to Inter. He has little interest in any other transfer possibilities.
Therefore, Inter will be able to push in negotiations, which should wrap up within the next few days.
