Juventus have contacted Chelsea regarding a potential shock move for striker Romelu Lukaku if Inter Milan are unable to sign him.

This according to UK broadcaster Sky Sports, via FCInterNews, who report that the Bianconeri are testing the waters for a potential move for the 30-year-old ahead of their bitter rivals as the Nerazzurri continue to face rejection from the Blues in their offers.

Inter have had another offer turned down for Lukaku.

According to reports, Inter have made an offer of €30 million for the Belgian. However, this is not high enough for Chelsea. The Blues want €45 million.

Inter are now pushing harder than ever to sign the Belgian. They are starting to offer a permanent deal rather than another loan, and have been hoping that this change in approach would be crucial in securing the green light from Chelsea.

However, that has not been the case so far.

The Premier League giants have continued to stand firm, as they still want to cash in for a fairly significant fee and not what they consider to be a low-ball offer.

Juventus Thinking About Shock Move To Sign Chelsea Striker Romelu Lukaku Ahead Of Inter

This continued hold-up in Inter’s talks with Chelsea may leave the door open for other interested club.

Few alternative destinations would be quite as sensational as Juventus.

The Bianconeri are reportedly thinking about a move for Lukaku particularly if Dusan Vlahovic departs.

Juventus had been interested in signing Lukaku all the way back in 2019, when he joined Inter from Manchester United. The Nerazzurri may have won the race for the Belgian’s signature in that instance, but the Bianconeri’s interest is evidently still present.

According to Sky UK, Juventus have tested the waters with Chelsea.

They have contacted the Blues, knowing that talks with Inter are still stalling.

It is hardly certain, however, whether the player would have any interest in joining Juventus.
