There’s still a big gap between Inter Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk on a potential price tag for goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Ukrainian side are still holding out for an ambitious fee of at least €30 million for Trubin, whilst Inter want to delegate no more than €10-12 million.

A deal between Inter and Manchester United to sell Andre Onana now looks close at hand. Inter have identified Trubin as their main target to replace the Cameroonian.

The Nerazzurri reportedly have a personal agreement in place with the player concerned.

The Ukrainian international is ready to sign a five-year contract to join Inter.

However, Shakhtar are not yet convinced.

And, if Inter cannot agree a fee with the Ukrainian club, then they would be stuck trying to find a different solution to replace Onana.

Inter Milan & Shakhtar Donetsk Still Some Way Away From Agreeing Anatoliy Trubin Fee

Inter have been hoping that Trubin’s contract situation would pave the road for them to agree a deal with Shakhtar.

The 21-year-old’s current deal with the Ukrainian club runs out at the end of next June. Moreover, he has not indicated any intention of signing an extension.

Therefore, Shakhtar will not have another real opportunity to cash in on Trubin after this summer.

Inter’s intention has been to capitalize on this contract situation. They hope to finalize the transfer with no more than €10-12 million.

However, Shakhtar are digging in their heels. The Ukrainian giants still hope for a big fee, reportedly in excess of €30 million.

According to the Corriere, Inter could offer a portion of the resale value on Trubin in order to convince Shakhtar.

Inter Milan Also Want Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer

In the meantime, the Corriere also confirm that Inter are targeting Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer as another goalkeeping signing.

They want the 34-year-old in addition to Trubin, rather than as an alternative or backup target.

Sommer would demand wages of around €5 million net per season. And as far as a fee, Bayern will want around €6 million.
