Inter Milan striker Martin Satriano is close to joining Brest on loan after turning down a move to Dinamo Zagreb.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that only the final exchange of documents is necessary for the 22-year-old Uruguayan’s loan move to Brest to become official.

Dinamo Zagreb have been hoping to sign Satriano on loan for next season.

The Croatian champions have been in talks with Inter regarding a loan move. Reportedly the clubs had reached a full agreement on the terms of a deal.

However, the player has not given his green light to the move. He has rejected Dinamo.

Instead, it looks as though Satrianoi will prefer a move back to a club he’s already played for on loan.

Inter Striker Martin Satriano One Step Away From Return To Brest On Loan

The Gazzetta report that the Uruguayan will go back to Ligue 1 club Brest.

Satriano had spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan with the French side. And now he looks to be headed back there.

22-year-old Uruguayan international Satriano spent the season just gone on loan with Empoli in Serie A.

The Nerazzurri-owned striker did not exactly set the world alight during his time with the Tuscans. A return of two goals over the course of the entire season was certainly below expectations.

At the same time, Satriano was still a regular in the team for the whole season, both from the start and from the bench.

Now, Inter have had a decision to make about the young Uruguayan’s future.

Newly-promoted sides are particularly keen, with Frosinone and Cagliari showed an interest in signing Satriano on loan.

However, it looks to be Brest who will be getting the deal done. The Ligue 1 club are where Satriano has showed his best form to date in Europe.
