Inter Milan are accelerating in their pursuit of Spezia wingback Emil Holm, whilst Juventus are lurking in the background.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, via FCInterNews, who reported live on air that the Nerazzurri have been moving fast to try and get a deal done to sign the Swede, but also that Juventus will soon meet with Spezia to see if they can get into the race.

Inter are looking to sign a right-sided wingback this summer.

With Matteo Darmian having a role at centre-back, the Nerazzurri will not want Denzel Dumfries to be the only specialist right-wingback in the squad. Squad depth is a priority going into what promises to be another very long season.

According to Pedulla, Inter have identified the player who they want to sign to reinforce on the right flank. He identifies Holm as the player who the Nerazzurri are now very interested in.

Inter have already met with the agent of Holm. And, he reports, the Nerazzurri have also been in talks with Spezia over the past few days.

They have made Holm one of their priority targets for the summer. Once they deal with some other vital business, Inter will try and finish up a deal to sign the 23-year-old.

Inter Milan Want Emil Holm But Juventus Also Keen

Pedulla also cautions that Juventus remain very keen on signing Holm for next season.

The Bianconeri, he expects, will meet with Spezia on Monday. They are intending to see whether it is still possible for them to pip Inter to the Swede’s signature.

Pedulla reports that Holm has some offers from abroad. But the player’s desire is to stay in Serie A and join a big club.

Therefore, he would be happy to sign for Inter. But on the other hand, if Juventus were to make an equivalent offer then they could very well turn Holm’s head.
