Inter Milan are moving fast to sign Bayern Munich goalkeeper Yann Sommer, and could wrap up the deal in the next 24 hours.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via FCInterNews, who reported live on air moments ago that the Nerazzurri are close to agreeing a contract with the 34-year-old, although they are aiming to secure a discounted fee from Bayern.

Inter are right on the verge of completing a deal to sell goalkeeper Andre Onana to Manchester United.

The deal is not yet done, but pen should be put to paper soon. The Cameroonian will only be a Nerazzurri player for a matter of days, maybe hours.

Therefore, Inter must secure a replacement for Onana. They are also looking to replace captain Samir Handanovic after the Slovenian officially left the club at the end of his contract.

The Nerazzurri will sign a couple of keepers, with their strategy being to sign one experienced player in the position, and one younger player who has room to grow.

In terms of the former task, the Nerazzurri know exactly who they’re going after. And they’re not wasting any time.

Inter Milan Not Wasting Time In Pursuit Of Bayern Keeper Yann Sommer

According to Di Marzio, Inter are already in advanced talks with Sommer and his representatives.

There are some details that the parties do still have to work out. However, they are very close to a full agreement.

Everyone is on the same page in negotiations and Inter should be able to wrap up the talks with the Swiss former Borussia Monchengladbach man soon.

On the front of his club, Inter are also in active talks with Bayern.

There is a release clause worth €6 million in Sommer’s contract with the Bavarians. Inter are hoping to lower this in negotiations.

In any event, Inter should be able to complete the deal in the next 24 hours, Di Marzio reports.
