Inter Milan striker Martin Satriano has returned to Ligue 1 club Brest on loan for the 2023-24 season.

The Nerazzurri confirmed the loan transfer of the 22-year-old Uruguayan international in an announcement made on their official Twitter account.

It’s official – Brest have brought back Satriano on loan.

The Uruguayan had spent the second half of the 2021-22 campaign on loan with the Breton club, and now he will do so again.

Dinamo Zagreb had tried to sign the Uruguayan on loan as well. So did newly-promoted Serie A sides Frosinone and Cagliari.

From Ligue 1, all of Lens, Lille, and Montpellier all reportedly showed an interest in signing Satriano on loan.

However, it is Brest who have convinced the player. They will bring back a player who already enjoyed a positive spell on loan over half a season a couple of years ago.

Inter Milan Striker Martin Satriano Completes Loan Move To Brest

Satriano had spent last season with Empoli in Serie A.

The Nerazzurri-owned striker did not exactly set the world alight during his time with the Tuscans. A return of two goals over the course of the entire season was certainly below expectations.

At the same time, Satriano was still a regular in the team for the whole season, both from the start and from the bench.

Therefore, the Uruguayan will be keen to return to an environment in which he has prospered in the past.

Over the second half of the 2021-22 season, Satriano made fifteen Ligue 1 appearances for Brest. He scored a total of four goals in the process, helping them to avoid relegation in that campaign.

Now, Satriano will be hoping that he can enjoy a similarly promising campaign over the coming twelve months. He joins Brest on a season-long loan, having completed his medicals and signed his contract today.
