Chelsea have accepted an offer from Inter Milan for striker Romelu Lukaku, but the player is starting to consider an offer from Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that it is now the Belgian’s green light that is missing on the deal as he is still taking his time and considering the Bianconeri’s offer.

Inter and Chelsea have finally reached an agreement for Lukaku after weeks of stalled talks.

The Nerazzurri have made a bid of €35 million for a permanent transfer of the 30-year-old former Everton and Manchester United striker. In addition, they have put €5 million in add-ons on the plate.

This is sufficient for Chelsea – the Premier League giants have accepted Inter’s offer, according to the Gazzetta.

But in an unexpected twist, now the player concerned is taking his time and holding up the deal.

After it had long looked as though Lukaku would dig in his heels and demand a move to Inter, he is now considering a surprise out-face.

Lukaku Not Yet Decided On Inter – Juventus Ready To Push For His Signature

According to the Gazzetta, Lukaku is now considering an offer from Juventus.

In parallel to the negotiations between Chelsea and Inter, the Belgian’s lawyer Sebastien Ledure has also been in talks with the Bianconeri.

According to the Gazzetta, Juventus want to make a big push to sign Lukaku. The newspaper report that they Turin giants will offer as much as €12.5 million a season in wages.

Meanwhile, the Bianconeri would be ready to offer Chelsea €37.5 million plus €2.5 million in add-ons.

Now, Lukaku is giving the Bianconeri some serious thought.

The Gazzetta suggests that part of the reason for the Belgian’s hesitation to go back to Inter is his feelings about the end of last season. Lukaku was annoyed at not starting in the Champions League final, the newspaper notes.

As long as the player himself is still deciding on his future, the agreement between Inter and Chelsea means little.

Currently, the situation is at a stalemate, and Lukaku will be the one to decide how to resolve it.
