Inter Milan could abandon a deal with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku as the player looks to be open to a move to Juventus.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via FCInterNews. Di Marzio reported live on air moments ago that the Nerazzurri have agreed a deal with Chelsea for the Belgian, but are now unable to get a hold of the player.

Just as Inter looked to be getting close to completing a deal to sign Lukaku, a big twist has emerged.

Di Marzio reports that Inter and Chelsea have reached an agreement on a deal. The Nerazzurri would pay the Blues €35 million, with an additional €5 million in add-ons.

However, he reports, now the player is yet to give the go-ahead. Lukaku, he suggests, is still considering interest from Juventus.

The Bianconeri have made Chelsea essentially the same offer as Inter have – €40 million in total. However, they’re offering €37.5 million up front, and €2.5 million in add-ons.

The one catch is that Juventus would have to sell striker Dusan Vlahovic first. In any event, Di Marzio reports that Chelsea have set a deadline of August 4 for the Bianconeri to make a deal.

Inter Milan Could Pull The Blug On Lukaku Deal Over Striker’s Openness To Juventus

Now, Di Marzio reports, Inter are becoming annoyed with Lukaku.

After it had long appeared that the player only wants the Nerazzurri, they are frustrated at his sudden apparent willingness to consider Juventus.

Therefore, Di Marzio reports, they could go in a different direction. If they cannot sort out the situation, Inter are prepared to simply move on to other targets.

For the time being, Inter are unable to get a hold of Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri finally have the agreement they’ve sought with Chelsea. But now, the player concerned could be the one to upend the deal.
