Inter Milan and Chelsea have reached an agreement for a transfer of Romelu Lukaku, but have yet to get in touch with the lawyer representing the player.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the clubs have agreed a fee of around €35 million plus add-ons for the 30-year-old Belgian international, but lack the go-ahead from the player’s lawyer on the deal.

Inter don’t want to waste any more time – they want to get a deal to sign Lukaku wrapped up in the next few days.

And Chelsea are of the same mind. The Blues are keen to wrap up the deal and offload the player for good.

Accordingly, the clubs have negotiated a transfer for a permanent sale, on the basis of a straight cash fee. There will be no more loans.

Inter have accepted the Blues’ absolutely ironclad stance against any more loan moves. And they have pushed their offer up to where Chelsea have indicated that they’ll accept the bid.

Inter are ready to sign Lukaku permanently for €35 million plus add-ons. And Chelsea will accept these terms.

Lawyer’s OK Still Missing From Lukaku Move From Chelsea To Inter

Crucially, however, neither Inter nor Chelsea have been able to reach the lawyer representing Lukaku, Sebastien Ledure.

According to the Gazzetta, Ledure has in fact also been negotiating in parallel with AC Milan and Juventus.

And Lukaku cannot complete the deal in the absence of representation.

It is not matter, however, reports that the Gazzetta. Roc Nation representatives can take care of the formalities on the deal on behalf of Lukaku.

The US-based agency has been representing Lukaku in addition to Ledure. They will be able to help get the deal over the line.

All systems look to be go for Inter to finally wrap up a deal for Lukaku.
