Andre Onana has said his final goodbyes to his soon-to-be-former Inter Milan teammates – his move to Man United is  now imminent.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported in a tweet that now is the day that the Cameroonian finally leaves the Nerazzurri to move to the Premier League for good.

The Onana transfer saga has yet to reach its true conclusion – an official announcement by Manchester United that they’ve gotten their man.

But in truth, it’s looked a done deal or very close to it for some days now.

Over the past couple of weeks, the Nerazzurri and the Red Devils have rapidly advanced through talks. All reports suggest that they’ve agreed on a fee somewhere in the region of €55 million with the inclusion of all add-ons.

The only thing that has been missing has been the final formalities.

But even those should now arrive. Onana will travel to Manchester, undergo his medicals, and sign a five-year deal with the Red Devils.

The 27-year-old, who arrived at Inter twelve months ago on a free transfer, will leave in a big money deal.

Andre Onana Bids Farewell To Inter Milan – Man United Move At The Finish Line

Even yesterday, Onana was still at the Inter training ground.

Despite the transfer saga that everyone is well aware of, the player is still technically a Nerazzurri player. So he was able to wrap up his time with teammates and staff who he’s gotten to know last season.

But now even those illusions have been dispensed with. Di Marzio reports that today the Cameroonian has said his final goodbyes.

This is “the end” for Onana at Inter, he reports.

Onana knows that this was the last time he’ll be seeing these Inter teammates, unless its on opposite sides of the pitch.

Now, he’s off to United.
