It’s a done deal – Inter Milan have shaken hands on a sale of goalkeeper Andre Onana to Man United.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported in a tweet that the Cameroonian is headed to United, and that the Red Devils will pay the Nerazzurri €55 million including add-ons.

Onana is still an Inter player, but only in the most technical of senses.

It has looked clear for several days now that the Cameroonian would make the switch to United.

However, the clubs have still been working on the final details regarding an agreement for his transfer.

Today, Onana was still at Inter’s training ground. Everyone was well aware that it would be his last day, however, and the 27-year-old said goodbye to teammates and staff after twelve months at the Nerazzurri.

Now, he is expected to fly to Manchester. In the next day or two, the Red Devils will hope to have Onana wrap up his medicals and then put pen to paper on a five year deal.

Man United To Pay €55M To Inter Milan For Andre Onana Including Add-Ons

According to Di Marzio, the final fee on the deal for Onana will be €55 million. This is with the inclusion of all add-ons.

Over the past couple weeks, Inter and United have been negotiating on the fee.

The Nerazzurri’s initial asking price was widely reported to be around €60 million.

Meanwhile, United initially made an offer of around €40 million.

However, the clubs quickly came closer together. Both had motivation to make the deal, and in the end they are settling on around €55 million.

Add-ons have been key to the two clubs finding agreement on a fee.

Onana joined Inter on a free transfer from Ajax last summer. Now, he is departing for a sizable transfer fee.
