Man United should likely make the official announcement that they’ve signed Andre Onana from Inter Milan tomorrow.

This according to UK journalist Nizaar Kinsella, who reports in a tweet that the Cameroonian is travelling to Manchester today, and that the announcement of his sale to the Red Devils should follow as early as tomorrow.

The transfer saga is finally over.

Manchester United have gotten their man.

The Red Devils and the Nerazzurri have been locked in serious negotiations for the transfer Onana for the past couple weeks.

Inter certainly did not want to let the 27-year-old former Ajax man go without a big fee in return. However, United have been adamant about snapping up Onana, and eventually made an offer the Nerazzurri were happy with.

All reports suggest that United have agreed to pay Inter a total of around €55 million for the Cameeroonian.

That includes both a €50 million fee and also around €5 million in add-ons.

Andre Onana Travelling To Manchester Today – Official Transfer Announcement Tomorrow

Kinsella reports that Onana has already started making his trip to Manchester. It will be a one-way trip, signifying the end of his Inter adventure and the start of a new one at Old Trafford.

Now, the Cameroonian can undergo his medicals and then put pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Red Devils.

Kinsella reports that the Premier League club are ready to wrap up the deal in time for him to be part of their preseason tour of the US.

Onana joins his former Ajax coach Erik ten Hag at United.

The Dutch tactician reportedly had a big influence on the English club’s insistence on signing Onana. The 27-year-old will replace David de Gea after eleven years at the club for the Spaniard.

Onana made just 41 appearances at Inter last season, his solitary campaign in a Nerazzurri shirt.

However, the Cameroonian certainly had no lack of impact during those twelve months.

Initially beginning the campaign as second-choice to Inter captain Samir Handnaovic, Onana quickly cemented the first-choice spot for himself.

Onana’s displays were particularly outstanding in the Champions League. Some outstanding saves throughout the knockouts were crucial to Inter reaching the final.
