Inter Milan Wingback Federico Dimarco: ‘Marcus Thuram & Davide Frattesi Will Give Us A Lot Next Season’

Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco believes that new signings Marcus Thuram and Davide Frattesi will add a lot to the Nerazzurri.

Speaking to InterTV, via FCInterNews, the 25-year-old gave his thoughts as the team prepares for the upcoming campaign in preseason.

Inter are now starting to gear up for next season.

The Nerazzurri squad has returned to training for preseason. Among the players are stalwarts from last season like Dimarco.

However, joining the Italian international are some new arrivals.

Arguably the two most high-profile signings of the summer have been Thuram and Frattesi.

Both of the pair will arrive with big expectations. They have each shown in the past couple seasons that they can inject some immediate quality into the team.

At the same time, both of the pair bring the average age of the squad. Both Thuram and Frattesi will have plenty of room to grow in an Inter shirt.

And for his part, Dimarco is expecting both two improve the team next season.

“Frattesi I already know through the national team,” Dimarco said of the former Sassuolo midfielder.

“And I’ve played against with the national team at youth level,” the 25-year-old added. “They’re both players who can give us a lot.”

Of getting back to training after a break, Dimarco said that “After so many days away, it’s good to come back home. I’ve been playing for Inter for many years now, but it always feels good to get back here.”

“Over the years I’ve been fortunate to have teammates who’ve helped me fit in here, helped me grow,” Dimarco said.

“Since I returned here from Verona, I’ve been trying to become more important within the group each season,” the wingback continued. “To make new players understand what it means to play for Inter.

“It means a lot to play for Inter,” he added.

“Our club and these fans deserve respect all around the world,” Dimarco continued. “Players treat it as though they’ve really arrived when they join.

Of last season, Dimarco said that “It was a great season, apart from the league.”

“We won two cup trophies, and reached the Champions League final which we hadn’t done since 2010.”
