Sampdoria, Spurs & PSG Players On Inter Milan’s List Of Plan B Targets If They Miss Out On Bayern Veteran

Emil Audero, Hugo Lloris, and Keylor Navas are among Inter Milan’s Plan B options if they are unable to sign Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are keeping the Sampdoria, Tottenham Hotspur, and Paris Saint-Germain keepers in mind as other options if they miss out on Sommer.

Right now, Inter’s priority is to wrap up a deal to sign Bayern keeper Sommer.

The 34-year-old has been the player Inter have lined up for some time to replace Andre Onana for next season.

And now that Onana has officially left for Manchester United, the Nerazzurri are starting to feel the pressure to replace the Cameroonian.

The talks are ongoing with Bayern to secure a deal for Sommer. Inter are fairly optimistic that they can complete a deal for the former Borussia Monchengladach veteran sooner or later.

But there are a couple of potential factors which could hold up the deal.

One is the matter of the fee – Inter are aiming to play less than Sommer’s release clause, whilst Bayern want the full clause.

Then, there is the Bavarians’ reluctance to sell the Swiss whilst they still haven’t signed a replacement. This is particularly the case given Manuel Neuer’s longer-than-expected absence through injury.

Inter Milan Thinking Of Audero, Lloris & Navas As Sommer Alternatives

One veteran player who could be available on a free or low-cost transfer is Tottenham Hotspur and France captain Hugo Lloris.

The 36-year-old looks to be out of the project under Ange Postecoglou.

Inter could look to capitalize.

Then, another veteran option would be Keylor Navas.

The 36-year-old Costa Rica international spent last season on loan from Paris Saint-Germain at Nottingham Forest.

Navas played a key role in keeping Forest in the Premier League.

Now, however, the Costa Rican is back in the French capital. And given that he has little place in PSG’s project, Inter could capitalize by signing the multiple Champions League winner.

Lastly, Emil Audero looks to leave Sampdoria after the Blucerchiati’s relegation to Serie B. Inter are thinking about a move for the 26-year-old if they’re unable to sign Sommer.
