According to Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews, the manager insists that Alvaro Morata is the right profile to replace Edin Dzeko.
The Bosnian veteran signed for Fenerbahce after seeing out a two-year contract with the Italian giants. Therefore, Inzaghi is seeking a new player who can plug the gap left by the 36-year-old’s departure, someone who can facilitate the play.
However, the management isn’t willing to meet Atletico Madrid’s price tag for the Spanish striker. The Rojiblancos are looking to pocket 21 million euros for the player’s services.
Moreover, the Nerazzurri wouldn’t be able to rely on the Growth Decree to save 50% of the taxes related to wages, since Morata was playing in Italy (with Juventus) less than two years ago.
