A player exchange between Inter Milan and Sampdoria could be brewing, one that includes Giovanni Fabbian and Emil Audero.

According to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, the Ligurian club is interested in the services of the Nerazzurri youngster.

Fabbian is a 20-year-old midfielder who joined Inter’s youth ranks in 2018 after starting his career at Padova.

Last season, the young man impressed during his loan spell at Reggina. He is currently part of Simone Inzaghi’s pre-season squad.

However, he could embark on yet another temporary stint as he’s unlikely to gain sufficient playing time at the Giuseppe Meazza.

But while Sampdoria are reportedly determined to add Fabbian to Andrea Pirlo’s squad, Inter prefer to find him a club in Serie A.

For their part, the Blucerchiati will feature in Serie B next term following a calamitous campaign that culminated in relegation.

Inter Milan Youngster Giovanni Fabbian Could Join Sampdoria On Loan While Emil Audero Moves In The Opposite Direction

However, the inclusion of Audero could be enough to sway the Nerazzurri. The 26-year-old is a Juventus youth product who joined Sampdoria in 2018.

As we all know, Inter are desperate to sign a couple of goalkeepers before the end of the transfer market. The club parted ways with Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic this summer.

While Audero may not be the right profile for the Number One spot, he could prove to be a decent backup. The source believes Sampdoria’s asking price could be around 8 million euros.

In the meantime, Bayern Munich veteran Yann Sommer remains the primary choice for the Nerazzurri.
