Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic has agreed a five-year contract with Inter Milan worth €1.8 million net per season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 21-yeaar-old has agreed terms with the Nerazzurri, who are now working to get a deal over the line with his club.

Inter have been moving fast in talks to sign Samardzic.

The Nerazzurri have been targeting the German-born Serbian international throughout the summer.

First, he was a player who they had seemingly lined up as an alternative target to Davide Frattesi. However, even after wrapping up a deal to sign Frattesi from Sassuolo, the Nerazzuri have continued to work to sign Samardzic.

Reports suggest that the Nerazzuri want to bring the 21-year-old in as midfield depth to replace Roberto Gagliardini.

And now, Inter are reportedly close to wrapping up a deal to sign Samardzic.

According to FCIN, if Fabbian joins Udinese on a permanent deal then the fee for Samardzic will be €15 million. There would then be a buyback option for Inter.

Meanwhile, if Fabbian joins the Friulani on loan then the fee for Samardzic will be around €25 million.
