West Ham United striker Gianluca Scamacca has said yes to a move to Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInter1908, who report that the 24-year-old is ready to give the go ahead on a transfer to the Nerazzurri as the two clubs work towards finding an agreement.

Yesterday Inter held a very significant meeting with West Ham regarding Scamacca.

The Nerazzurri put forward an offer for the 24-year-old worth around €25 million including add-ons.

Whilst this was not high enough for the Hammers to accept, it was not miles off of their expectations.

Scamacca, who cost around €40 million for West Ham to sign from Sassuolo last summer, is amortized in the Londoners’ balance sheet at around €30 million. Therefore, that is around the amount the Hammers would aim to recoup.

As such, there is clearly a basis for negotiations between the clubs.

If Inter improve their offer a reasonable amount, they can certainly convince West Ham.

This means that the Nerazzurri have now taken a decisive step ahead of Roma in the race for Scamacca’s signature. The Giallorossi are only capable of offering West Ham an initial loan deal.

A key matter, however, will also naturally be the player concerned giving the green light.

Gianluca Scamcca Ready To Accept Move To Inter Milan

According to La Repubblica, however, Scamacca’s go-ahead will not be any sort of problem.

The 24-year-old may well prefer a move to Roma, considering that he is a childhood fan of the Giallorossi.

However, the newspaper reports, that isn’t going to cause the Italian international to reject a move to the Nerazzurri.

The striker is waiting to see what sort of agreement arises for his future.

But given that Roma are only offering West Ham a loan deal, it looks likelier that Inter will win the race for Scamacca’s signature.

Therefore, La Repubblica suggests, the player will happily go along with a move to Inter if that’s what’s on the cards.
