Sassuolo striker Samuele Mulattieri feels grateful to Inter Milan for the role that they have played in his development.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, the 22-year-old gave his thoughts on what his time at the Nerazzurri meant to him, having completed the move to the Neroverdi earlier this summer.

Earlier this summer, striker Mulattieri made the move to Sassuolo.

The Emilian club signed the striker as part of a deal which saw midfielder Davide Frattesi go the other way.

Over the previous three campaigns, Mulattieri has undergone significant growth.

A season spent on loan with Volendam in the Netherlands was followed by two in Serie B. First with Crotone, and then with Frosinone.

It was at the latter where the striker really shone. Mulattieri played an important role in Frosinone achieving promotion to Serie A.

And it also got the 22-year-old a big top flight move.

It is at Sassuolo rather than Inter that Mulattieri will start finding his feet at the Serie A level.

Howevero, that doesn’t mean that the Nerazzurri didn’t have their role to play in the striker’s development.

Samuele Mulattieri “Grateful” To Inter Milan For Helping Him Develop

“I have to thank everyone who’s helped me grow,” said Mulattieri to Sky. “From Spezia to Inter.”

“I spent two important years in the Primavera team,” he said of his time with the Nerazzurri’s youth system.

“I’m nothing but grateful to Inter.”

And of his adjustment to life at Sassuolo, the striker said that “Things are going well.”

“We’re working hard in training getting ready for the new season.”

“I’m happy with my relationship with Dionisi,” he said of his new coach at Sassuolo. “He plays attacking football.”

Sassuolo are known for their work developing young players, and could be the right environment for a player like Mulattieri to grow.
