Merih Demiral is reportedly hoping to receive a call from Inter Milan as he tries to escape his unpleasant situation at Atalanta.

The 25-year-old has been plying his trade in Bergamo for the last two campaigns. However, he has now fallen out of favor and is no longer part of Gian Piero Gasperini’s tactical project.

In recent weeks, news reports have been linking the Turkish international with a switch to Inter Milan. However, the Nerazzurri are yet to make a concrete attempt on this front.

But according to Calciomercato, Demiral is crossing his fingers while waiting for Inter to knock on his door.

As the source reveals, the defender has an offer on the table from Fenerbahce. The report claims that the Istanbul-based giants are hellbent on bringing the player back to his boyhood club.
