Inter Milan are working hard on several fronts but won’t be able to close the deals for Yann Sommer and Lazar Samardzic on Thursday.

As Sky Sport via FcInterNews reveals, the Nerazzurri haven’t been able to finalize a deal for either player today.

The Serie A giants have identified the Bayern Munich goalkeeper as the best available replacement for the departed Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic.

On the other hand, Inter are looking to bolster the midfield department with a young and exciting profile in the shape of Samardzic.

The 21-year-old made a name for himself in Serie A while plying his trade at Udinese in the last couple of years.

Inter Milan Are Unlikely To Conclude Deals For Yann Sommer And Lazar Samardzic On Thursday

As the source explains, the Nerazzurri are making progress in their attempts to lure the two players to Appiano Gentile.

However, Thursday’s rounds of negotiations proved insufficient to put either deal over the line.

The report mentions that Giovanni Fabbian’s agent (Michelangelo Minieri) was at the club’s headquarters on Thursday. The young midfielder should join Udinese as part of the package that will see Samardzic move in the opposite direction.

However, Sky believes that the negotiations on this front are unlikely to conclude today. Sommer’s transfer to Inter is also in the same boat.

The Nerazzurri are hoping to seal a deal with Bayern as soon as possible. However, finding a full agreement between the parties could require some additional time.

So we shall see if Inter will be able to conclude this operations in the next few days.
