Former Arsenal and Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez is dreaming of making a return to Inter Milan this summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the Chilean is currently waiting to see if a move back to the Nerazzurri would be possible and isn’t considering other offers at the moment.

Sanchez has emerged as a surprise candidate in Inter’s search for attacking reinforcements this summer.

The Chilean had only left Inter last summer, ending a three-year stint at the San Siro.

He had certainly had an impact during his time at the Nerazzurri. He left a Serie A, Coppa Italia, and Supercoppa Italiana winner.

On the other hand, there were some rumblings of discontent. Particularly in his final season, the former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Manchester United forward hit out due to a relative lack of playing time.

However, the Nerazzurri ultimately decided to offload Sanchez due to his high wages, among other factors.

Sanchez made way for the return of Romelu Lukaku.

In the end, Inter agreed a termination of Sanchez’s contract by mutual consent. The ex-Gunners forward went on his way and joined Marseille.

Alexis Sanchez Wants Inter Milan Return This Summer

Sanchez spent the season with Marseille, but leaves at the end of his contract.

Therefore, the 34-year-old will be available on a free transfer. There are quite a few clubs who have shown an interest in bringing the veteran forward in.

However, according to Mediaset, Sanchez has a specific goal in mind.

The former Udinese and Barcelona man wants to return to inter, twelve months after leaving.

The broadcaster reports that Sanchez has so far not seriously listened to any other offers because he wants to wait and see if Inter make one.

According to Mediaset, Inter could decide to bring Sanchez back if Joaquin Correa leaves.

However, if the ex-Lazio forward stays, there would be little chance of Sanchez coming back.
