Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun  is pushing for an Inter Milan move, whilst the Nerazzurri are being patient.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri believe that they can potentially get the deal done for a fee of around €30 million plus a resale percentage on the American.

With the Gianluca Scmacca option now off the table just like that of Romelu Lukaku, Inter are once again getting their bearings in their search for a striker for next season.

Yesterday the club’s directors and Inzaghi held a meeting to discuss their strategy.

The Nerazzurri’s decision appears to be a relatively clear one – they will go for Arsenal striker Balogun.

The 22-year-old is not necessarily the first choice of Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi. The coach still wants a more physical target man to lead the line.

But as Inter’s directors are concerned, Balogun is the right player to go for in attack. They are all big believers that an investment in the US international for the future will reward them.

Folarin Balogun Wants Inter Milan – Nerazzurri Ready To Be Patient

According to Mediaset, Balogun’s response to Inter’s interest has been very positive.

He now wants the move to happen, and he wants it to happen soon.

There have been a couple less-than-subtle hints on social media. On his Instagram account, Balogun has posted a picture of legendary former Brazilian striker Ronaldo in a Nerazzurri kit.

Then, today, the 22-year-old wished new Inter signing Marcus Thuram, a happy birthday.

For their part, however, Inter’s directors aren’t in that much of a rush.

They believe that the deal will be possible. They’re going to approach negotiations with Arsenal in a methodical fashion.

Mediaset report that offering the Gunners a resale percentage could be key to Inter’s strategy.

The broadcaster anticipate that a fee of €30 million in addition to a resale percentage could be the right offer to seal a deal.
