Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero is in Milano to complete his transfer to Inter Milan. The Italian will undergo his medical on Thursday.

This summer, the Nerazzurri had to completely revamp the goalkeeping department. Andre Onana, Samir Handanovic and Alex Cordaz all left the club.

During the Japan pre-season tour, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi had to rely on the services of the young Filip Stankovic between the posts.

Luckily for the manager, the club managed to sort out the situation. Earlier this week, Yann Sommer completed his transfer from Bayern Munich.

The experienced Swiss should serve as the club’s Number One. And now, the Nerazzurri have found him an understudy in the shape of Audero.

According to Sky Sport via FcInterNews, the Sampdoria goalkeeper has arrived in Milano this evening ahead of his imminent transfer to Inter.

The 26-year-old is an Italian shot-stopper who started his career at Juventus. He rose through the club’s ranks but had to leave Turin due to the stern competition in the first team.

He joined the Blucerchiati in 2018 and established himself as an impressive up-and-coming custodian.

Tomorrow will be a busy day for the Nerazzurri. As we reported earlier, Lazar Samardzic has also arrived in Milano on Wednesday evening.

Similar to Audero, the 21-year-old Serbian should undergo his medical on Thursday before signing his contract with the club, completing a transfer from Udinese.
