Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero will be in Milano on Wednesday to undergo his routine medical tests before signing his contract with Inter Milan.

Following the departures of Andre Onana, Samir Handanovic and Alex Cordaz, the Nerazzurri had to revamp the entire goalkeeping department.

Yann Sommer completed his transfer from Bayern Munich earlier this week. The 34-year-old should be the club’s Number One between the sticks.

Moreover, Raffaele Di Gennaro made his return to the club. He’ll serve as a third-choice custodian.

Therefore, the final piece of the jigsaw remains the second-fiddle goalkeeper.

Nevertheless, the Beneamata have managed to find a suitable profile in the shape of Emil Audero.

According to Sky Sport via FcInterNews, the 26-year-old will arrive on Wednesday to undergo his routine medical tests.

The Italian will then sign his contract to become the latest addition to Inter’s goalkeeping department.

Sampdoria Custodian Emil Audero Will Be In Milano On Wednesday To Undergo His Medicals Prior To His Inter Milan Switch

Audero started his career as a Juventus youth product. But the stern competition in Turin pushed him out of the club. He joined Sampdoria in 2018 to make a name for himself.

Despite the Blucerchiati’s relegation to Serie B at the end of last season, the Italo-Indonesian still had his suitors in the top flight.

The source adds that young Inter Milan shot-stopper Filip Stankovic will be moving in the opposite direction, albeit in an independent deal.

As we reported earlier today, the 21-year-old Serbian will join Sampdoria on a loan deal with an option to buy. However, the Nerazzurri will maintain a buy-back option.
