Bologna star Marko Arnautovic is the latest striker to land on the ever-growing Inter Milan striker shortlist.

The Beneamata parted ways with Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku at the end of last season.

The management is desperate to buy at least one classic centre-forward before the start of the Serie A campaign on August 19.

News reports have been linking the Nerazzurri with a plethora of forwards, including the likes of Folarin Balogun and Mehdi Taremi.

But in an interesting twist, Arnautovic has emerged as the latest name on the shortlist. This is according to famous Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The transfer expert reveals that the first contacts have already ensued.

The 34-year-old is a well-traveled veteran who has been plying his trade at Bologna since 2021. He has a contract with the Rossoblu that runs until 2025.

The Austrian international even had a loan spell at Inter Milan back in the 2009/10 campaign. Although he won the famous treble, his contribution was minimal.

As we reported earlier, the player’s brother and agent confirmed that the striker has indeed received an offer from a top club.

The agent went on to remind Bologna of their earlier promise to sell Arnautovic in the event of an offer from a big club.

So we shall see how this story will develop in the coming days.
