Porto have rejected an offer of €23 million from Inter Milan to sign striker Mehdi Taremi – Meanwhile, Spurs haven’t asked about the 31-year-old.

This according to Belgian football journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reported in a tweet that the Portuguese giants want a fee of at least €30 million to sell the Iranian international.

Porto striker Mehdi Taremi looks to be a hot name in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.

One of the main reasons for this is that the Iranian’s deal with Porto runs out at the end of next June. Therefore, this summer would be the club’s last opportunity to cash in should he not extend his deal.

Inter are one of the clubs who have reportedly taken a serious interest in signing the 31-year-old.

The Nerazzurri are looking for a striker for next season. Having pulled out of the race for Romelu Lukaku and failed to sign Gianluca Scamacca, they are looking for a strong out-and-out Number Nine to lead the line.

Porto Reject €23M Bid From Inter Milan For Mehdi Taremi

Whilst the Nerazzurri have other targets – including Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun – Taremi is certainly on their radar.

And according to Tavolieri, the Nerazzurri have already made an offer. They have put a bid of around €23 million on the table, he reports.

However, Porto have said no to this offer.

The Portuguese side are holding firm on their valuation. They want at least €30 million if they’re to allow their striker to leave.

Meanwhile, Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are another team who are, at least potentially, looking for a striker this summer.

It is still unclear whether or not the Lilywhites will sell striker Harry Kane to Bayern Munich this summer.

However, if they do, they will certainly look for a replacements.

Some reports have named Taremi as a potential name on Spurs’s list to replace Kane. But according to Tavolieri, there have not been any contacts as of yet.
