Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic will not sign his contract with Inter Milan today because his agent hasn’t arrived in Milano.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the 21-year-old has still reassured the Nerazzurri fans that there’s no doubt about his joining, just a slight delay.

Samardzic’s arrival at Inter has looked like a done deal for some time.

All reports suggest that the Nerazzurri and Udinese have already wrapped up the agreement on a deal. Samardzic will join Inter on an initial one-year loan deal, with a purchase obligation next summer.

Meanwhile, midfielder Giovanni Fabbian will head in the other direction.

And as far as the player concerned goes, Samardzic has already reportedly agreed his contract with Inter. He is set to sign a five-year deal with the Nerazzurri.

Today, the German-born Serbian international was in Milano. There, he has undergone his medicals on the move.

Moreover, reports suggested that today would be the day that Samardzic would put pen to paper on his contract.

With a little over a week to go before Inter’s Serie A season begins, everyone is waiting for the Nerazzurri to officially announce Samardzic’s arrival, and for the player to start getting up to speed with his new teammates in training.

Lazar Samardzic Signing Contract With Inter Milan Delayed By Agent

However, everything will have to wait just a little bit longer.

Despite the expectations that today would finally be the day, Samardzic will not yet sign his deal.

That should be tomorrow instead.

And, as TMW reveals, the reason that the former RB Leipzig midfielder hasn’t yet put pen to paper is that his agent is not currently in Milano.

But if there is any worry by fans that this could mean Samardzic doesn’t sign, the player has given assurances.

Asked about the situation, he said “No, there’s no chance that I’ll go back to Udine now.”
