Inter Milan could pull the plug on a deal to sign Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri are seriously considering pulling out of the transfer at the eleventh hour after the 21-year-old’s entourage changed their requests on the move in a meeting today.

Samardzic’s arrival at Inter has looked as though it would be only a matter of time.

Over the past couple weeks, the Nerazzurri have fully agreed terms on a deal with Udinese. Reports suggest that the Nerazzurri are ready to sign the German-born Serbian international on a paid loan deal containing a purchase obligation.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have agreed a deal to send midfielder Giovanni Fabbian the other way.

Samardzic has even already undergone his medicals on the move. Yesterday, the former RB Leipzig midfielder was at Inter’s headquarters where he underwent the medical tests.

However, the deal now hangs in the balance.

Inter Milan Could Pull The Plug On Lazar Samardzic Deal After Meeting With Agents

Whilst Samardzic underwent his medicals yesterday, he did not sign his deal.

Today, the 21-year-old’s representatives were at Inter headquarters. The meeting, ostensibly, was just to wrap up the final details so that Samardzic could put pen to paper and join up with the squad right away.

However, that’s not quite how it worked out.

According to FCIN1908, Samardzic’s agents presented new demands during the meeting.

After a couple hours of talks, Inter and Samardzic’s representatives could not reach a definitive agreement.

Therefore, it is not currently possible for Inter to sign the Serb.

FCIN1908 report that now Inter are considering their next move. If they cannot repair things with Samardzic’s representatives, then the deal will not happen.

In any event, the outlet report, Inter will make their decision by this weekend.

Meanwhile, FCIN1908 also report that the future of Fabbian hangs in the balance.

The deal for the 20-year-old to join the Friulani is completely linked with the Samardzic transfer. Therefore, if the Samardzic deal falls through, then Inter will be looking for a new solution for Fabbian.
