Inter Milan transfer target Mehdi Taremi is reportedly happy to stay at Porto. However, he’s also open to a new career challenge.

The Nerazzurri are currently searching the market for a new striker. Taremi and Marko Arnautovic are apparently the leading candidates for the role after pulling out of the race to sign Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun.

According to Tasmin News journalist Hatam Shiralizadeh, Taremi has asked Porto to leave, even though he’d be willing to stay for another year.

The Iranian journalist reveals that the 31-year-old striker would like to join the Nerazzurri. Therefore, he asked the Dragao to leave following Inter’s opening bid.

Moreover, the former Rio Ave star has reportedly asked the club to lower their price tag.

Mehdi Taremi Would Be Happy To Stay At Porto But Would Fancy A New Adventure At Inter Milan

While the Portuguese giants are currently seeking 30 million euros, Shiralizadeh believes that the two clubs could reach an accord at 25 million.

Nevertheless, the Iranian international is still adopting a professional behavior. Despite fancying a new career adventure, he wouldn’t make a fuss if Porto don’t grant his request.

The 31-year-old still has a contract for another year. The bomber would be happy to fulfill it before leaving in 2024, even if he feels that this is the right time to leave the Iberian city.

We can expect some major developments on this front in the next hours and days with the first Serie A kickoff drawing ever closer.
