Three Serie A clubs are interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi – a swap deal for striker Boluaye Dia with Salernitana would be one possibility.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Libero, via FCInter1908, who name Bologna and Genoa as the other two clubs interested in signing the out-of-favour Nerazzurri midfielder.

Sensi is one player who does not have any sort of place in Inter’s plans for next season.

The imminent arrival of Lazar Samardzic from Udinese means that there will be six other senior midfielders in the squad. That hardly leaves a slot free for Sensi.

However, the 28-year-old also will not be going back to Monza. He had a fairly mixed loan spell with the Brianzoli last season, but they’ve turned down the opportunity to sign him permanently.

That does not, however, mean that there isn’t interest in Sensi’s signature from elsewhere in the Italian top flight.

Salernitana, Bologna & Genoa Interested In Sensi – Boulaye Dia Swap Deal Possible

Despite Sensi’s inability to put together a consistent run of his best form since joining Inter, particularly due to persistent injuries, few would deny the ex-Sassuolo man’s talent.

And that has been on full display in Inter’s preseason. Goals in friendlies against Paris Saint-Germain and Red Bull Salzburg have made for a timely reminder.

However, Libero report, he is still out of the project at Inter.

There is simply no room in the Nerazzurri’s squad. Moreover, there is perhaps a certain lack of trust in the Italian international’s fitness considering his history.

But there are a few teams in Serie A willing to take the risk.

Salernitana are one of them, reports Libero. Moreover, the newspaper suggests, striker Boulaye Dia could even come into talks between the Granata and the Nerazzurri.

Inter are still on the lookout for a new striker signing before the transfer window closes.

Considering Dia scored an eye-catching sixteen goals in Serie A last season, he could represent a compelling target. Libero report that the Nerazzurri have already scouted him

Inter could land the 26-year-old Senegalese international with a discount by offering Sensi going the other way.

Meanwhile, Bologna are also interested in bringing Sensi in, Libero report. He could even come up in talks between the clubs for striker Marko Arnautovic.

And newy-promoted Genoa are also keen on Sensi’s signature.
