Inter Milan and Monza have agreed a deal for wingback Carlos Augusto which will see the Nerazzurri pay a sell-on clause to sign the 24-year-old.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri and the Brianzoli have already reached a full agreement on the transfer, which will see Augusto join Inter on loan with an obligation worth €13 million plus €2 million in add-ons, and a 10% sell-on clause.

Inter have not wasted any time in making their move for Augusto.

The Brazilian is the Nerazzurri’s replacement for Robin Gosens.

With negotiations between Inter and Union Berlin for Gosens ongoing, the talks with Monza are happening concurrently.

Having already laid the groundwork for the transfer, Inter want to move right away. They will sign Augusto almost at the same time that they sell Gosens to Union.

Inter Milan & Monza Reach Full Agreement On Carlos Augusto Deal – Sell-On Clause Included

According to FCIN, the agreement between Inter and Monza is already all but established.

The two clubs are currently in talks. They’re hammering out the final details so that the transfer can go through in the coming days.

FCIN confirm reports that Augusto will join Inter on loan initially. This will be followed by a purchase obligation worth €13 million plus €2 million in add-ons.

That is right around the same amount that Inter will collect from the sale of Gosens – reports suggest that the Nerazzurri will sell the German to Union for a total fee of €15 million, including all add-ons.

Meanwhile, as part of the deal, Inter will also grant a percentage of sell-on fee to Monza.

The Brianzoli will already be paying a total of 40% of the fee to Augusto’s former club Corinthians. However, they will in turn receive a 10% portion of any fee that Inter receive for the Brazilian in the future.
