Negotiations between Inter Milan and the entourage of Udinese midfielder are currently at a standstill.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the Nerazzurri have told the 21-year-old to return to Udine for the time being and then make a decision on whether or not to accept a deal on their conditions.

Inter have attempted to get a transfer of Samardzic back on track after talks went off the rails yesterday.

However, Di Marzio reports, contacts today did not accomplish that. Quite the contrary, the talks remain the same as before, with the Nerazzurri and the former RB Leipzig midfielder’s entourage unable to reach an agreement.

The crux of the issue is the demands that Samardzic’s entourage brought to the table yesterday.

The Nerazzurri had thought that they had full personal terms agreed with Samardzic already. However, the 21-year-old’s father made new financial requests yesterday, which Inter are completely unwilling to consider.

Negotiations Between Inter Milan & Entourage Of Lazar Samardzic Still At Standstill

In contacts today, Inter and Samardzic’s representatives attempted to patch things up.

However, Di Marzio reports, they are at essentially the same impasse as they were yesterday.

Inter will only sign Samardzic if it is on the terms of the deal that they agreed previously. Meanwhile, the German-born Serbian international’s representatives are now refusing to sanction the deal unless it is at the terms they expect.

Therefore, Di Marzio reports, Samardzic has left Milano.

This despite the fact that the 21-year-old had even undergone medicals for his move a couple days ago.

Di Marzio reports that the Nerazzurri have told Samardzic that he can still consider things over the next 2-3 days.

If the player and his representatives return to the table willing to do the deal at the previously agreed terms, Samardzic could well join.

But, Di Marzio reports, that is not the situation at the moment.
