The transfer of midfielder Giovanni Fabbian to Udinese could be called off if Lazar Samardzic doesn’t come the other way to Inter Milan.

This according to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, who report that the 20-year-old is currently back in Milano, as his future is currently in doubt.

Samardzic’s transfer to Udinese has looked like virtually a done deal for a number of days now.

The Friulani were reportedly ready to bring the young midfielder in as part of a deal for Samardzic to join Inter.

Whilst the two transfers would nominally be separate deals, the clubs worked them out as part of the same talks.

Therefore, the deal has been for all intents and purposes a cash-plus-player deal for Inter to sign Samardzic.

However, in the last couple days the latter’s move to the Nerazzurri has suddenly hit the rocks. It is not certain whether the 21-year-old will stay at Udinese, but as things stand there is an impasse between his representatives and Inter.

Fabbian Move To Udinese Could Fall Through Of Samardzic Doesn’t Join Inter

Samardzic has returned to Udinese despite already travelling to Milano to undergo his medicals on a move to Inter.

And for Fabbian, DAZN reports, the situation is virtually reversed.

The 20-year-old had already made the trip to Udinese, where he underwent his medicals. Things have been all ready for Fabbian to seal the last formalities and put pen to paper on his deal with the Friulani.

But, like Samardzic, he has made the trip home, albeit in the other direction.

Currently, DAZN reports, Fabbian is just waiting to see what happens with Fabbian’s move to Inter.

It is not necessarily the case that the 20-year-old won’t join Udinese if Samardzic doesn’t move in the other direction. The deals could theoretically be uncoupled.

However, according to DAZN, the fact that Fabbian is currently back in Milano suggests that his future is no more certain than Samardzic’s.

In the event that Fabbian does not join the Friulani he would have no shortage of other suitors.

Even just for next season, all of Lecce, Bologna, Salernitana, Genoa, and Empoli have all shown interest.
