Udinese are “furious” with the entourage of midfielder Lazar Samardzic and trying to force through a move to Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Udine-based newspaper Messaggario Veneto, via FCInterNews, who report that at the moment the 21-year-old is training apart from the rest of the Friulani squad as his club look to sort out the situation.

The circus that Samardzic’s transfer to Inter has become rumbles on.

And one interested party are the German-born Serbian international’s current club, Udinese.

The Friulani had expected they’d wrapped up the sale of their young midfielder weeks ago at this point. They’ve based their own summer transfer plans on receiving a substantial cash windfall for the ex-RB Leipzig starlet, and midfielder Giovanni Fabbian to boot.

However, like Inter, Udinese have received the past few days as a highly unpleasant surprise.

And, also like the Nerazzurri, the Friulani are irate with Samardzic’s entourage who have brought the deal to the brink of collapse.

Udinese “Furious” With Samardzic’s Entourage Over Inter Transfer Debacle

Close to Udinese and to the situation, Messaggerio Veneto detail Sanardzic’s current predicament.

The newspaper report that the young midfielder is not currently with the rest of the Udinese squad. His club have no intention of making him a part of next season’s plans and aim to cash in.

Therefore, the Friulani are still working to patch things up with Samardzic’s representatives.

Talks continued throughout yesterday evening – Udinese aren’t giving up.

In any event, Samardzic is currently training on his own at the Friulani’s training ground.

The Serb returned to Udine from Milano a couple days ago. But Udinese are not reintegrating him into their squad – they want to force the deal through, one way or the other.

Backstory For Rift Between Inter & Samardzic’s Agents

Messaggerio Veneto also provide further detail on the exact reasons for the impasse between Inter and Samardzic’s representatives.

By now it is well-established that the rift came about when Samardzic’s entourage, headed by the player’s father, asked Inter for new financial demands in talks conducted at the eleventh hour, after the player had already completed his medicals.

This came after Inter and Udinese both assumed there were full agreement on personal terms with the Serb. They had negotiated a five-year deal via the mediation of prominent agent Rafaela Pimenta.

According to Messaggerio Veneto, Samardzic’s father and representatives had given Pimenta three-month temporary power of attorney, giving her the remit to secure a transfer of the 21-year-old to a bigger club.

Then, it seemed, Pimenta was to divide agent commissions up between herself and the player’s existing representatives.

Inter were irate when the player’s entourage then essentially asked for the full amount of agent commissions.

Inter Milan Don’t Want To Damage Relationship With Pimenta

The Nerazzurri do not want to damage their relationship with Pimenta, an agent who represents many players. The Brazilian agent is the successor to the late Mino Raiola.

When Samardzic’s agents realized that Inter had no intention of paying them the full €200,000-300,000 in commissions, not wanting to cause a rift with Pimenta, they changed tack.

The Serb’s agents then asked the Nerazzurri to increase Samardzic’s wages from the agreed-upon amount via Pimenta.

But Inter also refused this. The Nerazzurri feel that they already have an agreement and have dug in their heels. They’ll only sign Samardzic at the terms they already agreed. Otherwise no transfer.

So that’s the situation.

Now, it is not just Inter who are irate with Samardzic’s entourage.

Udinese as well feel that the behaviour of the player’s father in particular has been grossly inappropriate and has put the transfer in jeopardy.

Whilst it had been Inter who worked to patch things up with Samardzic’s representatives over the weekend, now it is Udinese’s turn.

The situation is a mess, but the Friulani want to sort it out.
