Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel did his best to silence the rumors linking Inter Milan transfer target Benjamin Pavard with the exit door.

This morning, several sources from Italy and France claimed that the Nerazzurri have reignited their interest in the 27-year-old.

The Italian giants have already tried to sign the Frenchman as a replacement for Milan Skriniar last January but to no avail.

With the Slovakian now out of the club, Inter are once again on Pavard’s heels. The club has identified the 2018 World Cup winner as the best profile for the job.

Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the former Stuttgart man. But the Red Devils must first find a solution for Harry Maguire before pursuing Pavard.

For his part, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel downplays the whole saga.

The former Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea coach insists that the player never expressed his intention to leave the Bavarian giants.

Tuchel also confirms that the Bundesliga giants are yet to receive any offers for the versatile defender. Thus, he still plans to rely on his player’s services as usual.

“Benji hasn’t told me personally that he wants to leave the club,” said the Bayern manager in his pre-match press conference on Thursday via FcInterNews.

“As far as I know, at the moment there are no offers. Until something radically changes, we’ll be totally counting on his services.”

The Bavarian giants take on Werder Bremen in the opening fixture of the Bundesliga on Friday evening. Pavard could well be in the starting formation based on Tuchel’s words.
