Torino are in talks with Inter Milan to sign forward Joaquin Correa on loan for this season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Granata are working to try and bring the 29-year-old Argentine international in on a one-season loan with a purchase option.

The future of Argentine international forward Correa at Inter has looked up in the air this summer.

By all accounts, the Nerazzurri are ready to part ways with the 29-year-old. He is not a major part of their plans for the season by any means.

Correa arrived at Inter from Lazio in the summer of 2021, and he had significant expectations attached to him as well as a large price tag.

However, the former Sevilla and Sampdoria forward has never really met those expectations.

There have been a few standout moments here and there. Correa scored match-winning braces against the likes of Hellas Verona and Udinese in his first season at the club, and also found the back of the net in a Champions League clash with Benfica.

But these have been much more the exception than the rule.

Injuries have played a major role in disrupting Correa’s momentum. The Argentine has missed a fair bit of time, and when he has been available there have been doubts about his match-fitness.

Torino In Talks To Sign Inter Forward Joaquin Correa On Loan

FCIN1908 confirm that Torino have come forward with an interest in Correa.

They are in active talks with the Nerazzurriu regarding the Argentine. FCIN1908 report that a round of negotiations took place today.

A key stumbling block for the Granata would be Correa’s wages.

Therefore, Inter would have to pay a portion of €3.6 million net per season wages.

Meanwhile Torino would have a purchase option on Torino. This would be for €20-25 million, FCIN1908 reports.

The Nerazzurri are ready to move for Alexis Sanchez as a like-for-like replacement for Correa if he leaves.
