Legendary ex Inter Milan President Massimo Moratti believes Marko Arnautovic is a great signing, and is happy another Calciopoli appeal by Juventus being rejected.

Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttoCagliari, via FCInterNews, the former Nerazzurri President opined on a couple of recent topics regarding his old club.

Inter signed Arnautovic from Bologna this summer.

The Austrian has been an Inter player in the past. He had a one-season spell in the 2009-10 season, whilst Moratti had been President.

But now, Arnautovic looks like a different player altogether.

Massimo Moratti A Fan Of Marko Arnautovic At Inter

“In my opinion, Arnautovic was a fantastic signing,” Moratti said.

“I’m also particularly pleased because Marko was part of the Treble group. And even then he was a player with a lot of class and technical ability.

“He went on to prove himself in England,” Moratti noted. “And now, having returned to Inter, he can give the team a lot.”

“Perhaps there’s also a need for one more signing to complete the attack, Moratti then said.

“When we consider Serie A, the Champions League, and the Coppa Italia. After all, Inter must keep the flag flying in all three competitions.”

Rejection Of Latest Juventus Appeal A Vindication

Moratti also reacted to the fact that a federal court rejected the final appeal by Juventus to strip Inter of the 2005-06 Serie A title.

The title naturally has a lot of controversy around it. And the Bianconeri have attempted on multiple times to revoke it on appeal.

However, the appeals have always faced rejection, as has been the case with this most recent one.

Asked if he hopes this is finally the end of the appeals, Moratti replied “I sure hope so.”

“By now this story has gotten a bit boring,” he said. “So I hope this really is the final chapter.”

“We are certainly very proud of this umpteenth confirmation of the 2005-06 Scudetto”.
