Inter Milan will wait two more days to complete a deal to sign defender Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s anxiety is growing as the Germans still haven’t secured a replacement for the Frenchman, whilst they have lined up Torino’s Perr Schuurs as an alternative target.

The clock is really starting to tick down when it comes to Inter’s efforts to sign Bayern defender Pavard.

The Nerazzurri have had an agreement with Bayern on a fee in hand for a week now.

And for his part, the player concerned has left no doubt as to his intentions. Pavard has even skipped several days of training as he’s tried to put pressure on Bayern to sell him.

However, the green light from the German champions on the deal has not yet arrived.

And as Mediaset confirms, Pavard is now back in training. His “strike” has come to an end, at least for the time being.

Inter Milan Will Wait Two More Days On Benjamin Pavard

The situation has always looked fairly straightforward – Bayern are willing to sell Pavard to Inter, but only if they can sign a like-for-like replacement of suitable quality.

And there could be bad news for Inter on that front.

The German champions have identified AC Milan defender Pierre Kalulu as a possible replacement for Pavard.

However, Bayern have made contact with Milan for the 23-year-old’s signature. And according to Mediaset, the Rossoneri have turned them down.

Therefore, time is of the essence. Mediaset report that Inter are growing less and less sure that Bayern will give the all-important green light that would allow them to sign Pavard.

Therefore, the broadcaster reports, Inter also have a backup target at the ready.

That target would be Torino defender Schuurs.
