The Inter Milan balance sheet for the 2023-24 fiscal year will be impacted at around €13.9 million by the signing of Benjamin Pavard.

This according to Italian news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who detail how the Nerazzurri’s spending on the signing of the 27-year-old will impact their balance sheet, between the transfer fee and wages.

Inter are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Pavard.

The Frenchman is already in Milano. There, he will undergo his medicals and sign his contract tomorrow.

Then, Pavard can join his new teammates, whilst the club will make the official announcement of his arrival.

This comes after Bayern gave the green light on the transfer today.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta and his Bayern counterpart Jan-Christian Dreesen worked out the final details.

Pavard will sign a five-year contract with Inter. Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri will sign the former Stuttgart outright, bringing him in on a permanent basis rather than on an initial loan deal.

Inter Milan Balance Sheet To Record €13.9M Spending On Benjamin Pavard Signing

As Calcio e Finanza note, Pavard will arrive at Inter for a fee of €30 million initially. In addition, there are €2 million in potential add-ons in the deal.

Since the add-ons won’t be triggered right away, Inter will only start the amortize the €30 million base fee.

This will mean that for the first season of Pavard’s five-year contract, the Nerazzurri will record a loss of €6 million.

Then, there is the Frenchman’s wages.

Reportedly, Pavard will earn around €5 million net per season on his contract with Inter.

The tax benefits of the growth decree will apply to Pavard’s contract, but not to the first year. The reason for this is that the Frenchman was not a resident of Italy on July 2.

According to Calcio e Finanza, therefore, Inter will pay €7.9 million in gross wages to Pavard this season.

Therefore, the total expenditure in Inter’s balance sheet during the 2023-24 fiscal year will be €13.9 million.
