Joaquin Correa feels that he can make the difference at Marseille.

Speaking to the French club’s official social media channel, via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old stressed his desire to prove that he can be a decisive player after completing his loan move from Inter Milan, where he spent two disappointing season.

Argentine international Correa joined Marseille from Inter last week.

The former Lazio, Sevilla, and Sampdoria forward joins on a one-season loan deal that will become a permanent one under certain conditions.

Reportedly, if the Ligue 1 giants qualify for the Champions League, that will trigger the obligation to sign Correa on a permanent basis.

Correa leaves Inter having never really met expectations in a Nerazzurri shirt.

Injuries played a major role in disrupting the Argentine’s momentum.

Even when Correa was fit to play, there was a sense that he was not match-fit. The forward seemed to play within himself, and struggled to make an impact except for a few noteworthy exceptions.

Joaquin Correa Wants To Make The Difference At Marseille

Now, Correa will have the chance to start on a different foot at Marseille.

With the Ligue 1 side, the 29-year-old can try to recapture the form that he had shown playing for the likes of Sevilla and Lazio.

If he can do that, then Correa will go some way towards repairing his reputation.

However, if the 29-year-old cannot improve on his Inter tenure, it would be a disappointment for him.

Correa said that “I can give this team a lot. I can make the difference.”

“I want to start proving that right away,” he continued.

Correa said that “It can be a great season if we’re all united. From the staff to the players.”

Of joining Marseille, he said that “It’s a great club. I wanted to join here as soon as the opportunity arose.”
