According to famous Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Nerazzurri have asked the Spurs for some information on the Frenchman.
The 26-year-old rose to stardom during his time at Lyon. This prompted a mega-money transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.
However, he wasn’t able to replicate the same success in North London, at least not on a consistent basis.
The midfielder spent the last campaign on loan at Napoli, mostly featuring as a backup. The reigning Italian champions opted against maintaining his services.
Therefore, Ndombele now finds himself an outcast at Spurs. But despite his desperation for a transfer, he still rejected a proposal from Genoa.
As the source explains, the former Lyon man is holding out for a club that grants him the chance to feature in the Champions League.

This would also drive young Albanian midfielder Kristjan Asllani towards the exit door. The former Empoli man could embark on a loan stint that allows him to gain further experience.
