“I prefer to play in a central position. I think this is my best role.”

Inter Milan New Signing Davy Klaassen Excited To Start His Adventure With The Nerazzurri

The new Inter signing is nicknamed “Mister One Nil” for his knack for scoring openers.

“I’ve always managed to score in my career. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence, but many times I actually scored the opening goal.

“That’s why they gave me this nickname. I’m very proud of it.

“I expect to have fun in Italy. It’s a difficult league and I’ve heard a lot of positive stories from former teammates. I can’t wait to start playing.”

“Sometimes, you have to change the environment. I can’t wait to start this new adventure and achieve new successes with Inter.”

The experienced midfielder will find two fellow Netherlands internationals at Appiano Gentile in the shape of Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij.

He reveals that his two compatriots encouraged him to join the club as they only had positive things to say about Inter.

“Yes, I spoke to Denzel and Stefan. They told me a bit about the club and the squad. They only said positive things.”
