Inter Milan have officially sent young goalkeeper Nikolaos Botis on loan to SS Monopoly 1966 on deadline day.

It has been an incredibly busy summer transfer session for the Nerazzurri who revamped their squad with a plethora of arrivals and departures.

Nevertheless, it proved to be a mildly exciting deadline day. The arrival of Davy Klaassen was the main attraction for the Beneamata fans on Friday. The 30-year-old completed a permanent transfer from Ajax.

Yet, Inter directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio still conducted some business on the youth sector level. The Nerazzurri sent Botis on loan to Serie C.

The club’s official website confirmed the transfer of the Greek youngster to Monopoly.

The goalkeeper joined the Nerazzurri in 2020 after starting his career in his home nation of Greece with PAOK Salonika.

Young Greek Goalkeeper Nikolaos Botis Joins Monopoly On Loan From Inter Milan

The 19-year-old has been sharpening his tools at Inter’s Primavera ranks. But this season, he will get to chance to play at the senior level in Italy’s third tier.

Botis will spend the 2023/24 campaign on loan with Monopoly, a club that plays in Serie C Girone C (a category reserved for clubs hailing from Southern Italy). He also has six caps to his name with Greece U19.

The official statement doesn’t mention an obligation or option to buy, suggesting it’s a dry loan. Thus, we can expect the young custodian to re-join Inter’s ranks next summer.
