Former Inter Milan and Fiorentina defender Sergio Battistini feels that the Nerazzurri have done well in the summer transfer window.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio FirenzeViola, via FCInter1908, Battistini suggested that Inter have made the signings that they’ve needed to during the summer transfer window, but that they could still struggle in tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina.

The summer transfer window is now in the past.

Inter ended it with a flurry, bringing in the likes of Benjamin Pavard and Davy Klaassen in the final couple of days prior to deadline day.

However, these were anything but the only signings that Inter made. On the contrary, Inter made a whopping twelve signings over the course of the window.

Now, the big question could be how these new arrivals will fit together in Inter’s team.

So far this season, Simone Inzaghi has been relatively sparing in his use of the new signings. The coach has mostly relied upon many of the players he already trusted most from last season.

However, Inzaghi will certainly start to look for more of an impact as the season wears on. Starting with tomorrow evening’s match against Fiorentina.

Battistini Looks Ahead To Inter Milan Vs Fiorentina Clash Tomorrow

This weekend is the first round of fixtures in Serie A after the closure of the summer transfer window.

Both of Inter and Fiorentina have made plenty of alterations to their respective squads.

Inter signed Davy Klaassen just in time before the window close. And La Viola made a deadline day midfield signing of their own, in the form of Maxime Lopez.

Battistini said that “I expect a very open match.”

He continued that “Fiorentina always play to win. They don’t just defend and look to nick somethinf out of matches.”

Battistini argued that “Inter have strengthened their squad. I see it being a difficult match for both teams.”

“Inter have signed the right players,” he argued.

“In attack, though Fiorentina have signed a great player in Nzola. He’ll definitely strengthen them in that position.”
