Legendary former AC Milan, Real Madrid, and England coach Fabio Capello feels that Inter Milan are the team who’ve impressed most in Serie A.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI Radio, via FCInterNews, the coach gave his appraisal of the season to date, naming the Nerazzurri as the outstanding team so far.
So far this season, there are two teams to have taken nine points from nine.
City rivals Inter and Milan sit jointly top of the table. The pair have each won their opening three matches.
Meanwhile, Juventus and surprise package Lecce sit just behind the Milano teams, with seven points each.
Last season’s champions Napoli won their opening two matches of the campaign. But defeat at the hands of Lazio has halted the Partenopei’s momentum a bit.
Hellas Verona, like Lecce, have also enjoyed a positive start to the campaign. the Gialloblu have amassed six points as Napoli also have.,
At the other end of the table, Roma have certainly disappointed. The Giallorossi are currently in the relegation places with just point after three matches.
And Lazio have three points, with their win over Napoli coming after defeats to Lecce and Genoa.
Capello Says Inter Milan The Most Impressive Team In Serie A So Far
Capello said that “Inter are keeping the momentum from last season’s Champions League final going.”
“They’ve looked like a great team over the first few matches of the season. They believe in their own strength.”
The former coach suggested that “They’re the team that have impressed me most in terms of consistency.”
“They’re clearly still hungry to win,” Capello noted.
“You can see that in fact that they still have not conceded a goal,” he also added.
And of his former side, Capello said that “Milan have been the surprise package. Last season they showed they’re a real team, and they have a lot of quality.”
