Istanbul Basaksehir are considering a loan move for out-of-favour Inter Milan midfielder Lucien Agoume this season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews. The outlet report that the Turkish club could be an escape route for the France Under-21 international after missing the European transfer deadline.

Agoume is beginning to run out of options for the season.

The Frenchman hardly has a place at Inter. There are already seven senior midfielders ahead of him in the pecking order at the Nerazzurri.

To nobody’s surprise, Agoume is not a part of Inter’s squad list for the group stage in the Champions League.

And in the league, it will be very much the same story. Agoume has little chance of featuring for the Nerazzurri.

Therefore, a move away – likely on loan – is the only way in which the 21-year-old would see significant playing time over the course of the season.

Istanbul Basaksehir Show Interest In Signing Inter Midfielder Lucien Agoume On Loan

Currently, Agoume is on international duty with the France Under-21 squad.

But time is running out to sort out the midfielder’s future.

Right now, many of the options have been closed off. During the summer, FCIN report that Agoume rejected all offers that came in for him.

There were reportedly loan bids from teams in Serie A and Ligue 1. Meanwhile, La Liga team Almeria reportedly showed a serious interest in either loaning in Agoume or even signing the midfielder on a permanent basis.

But none of these possibilities convinced Agoume.

Now, most transfer windows around Europe are closed.

But teams in the Turkish Super Lig can register players until as late as September 15.

Therefore, that league is a natural destination for players who have failed to secure moves before deadline day.

The club from the Turkish capital have put forward their interest in signing Agoume on loan. And the player is reportedly considering the possibility.
