Inter Milan are not worried about the minor injury to wingback Juan Cuadrado.

This according to Italian news service ANSA, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri expect that there is no serious jeopardy to the 35-year-old’s fitness, and anticipate that he will be able to return ready to get straight back to training.

Reports emerged today that Inter wingback Cuadrado could be a doubt for Colombia in their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Chile.

The veteran former Juventus, Chelsea, and Fiorentina man came off at halftime in last Thursday’s match against Venezuela. The problem was reportedly a minor leg issue.

Therefore, there is every chance that the 35-year-old will not be part of the squad against Chile, as a precaution.

However, ANSA report, Inter are not fretting.

The Nerazzurri expect Cuadrado to return at the end of the week ready to get back to training. The Colombian should be in the squad for next Saturday’s Serie A derby against AC milan.

Inter Milan Expecting Juan Cuadrado To Return Fit

Cuadrado will be one of the last Inter players to return from international duty.

The 35-year-old will only be back in Inter training on Thursday, along with the other two South American internationals in the team.

Inter captain Lautaro Martinez will also return late. As will Alexis Sanchez, who has had fitness issues of his own with the Chilean national team.

Therefore, there will be a bit of worry regarding the match-fitness of the trio for the derby next weekend.

With both Cuadrado and Sanchez, it is not as though they were ever likely to start against Milan. Still, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi wilkl naturally want everyone at his disposal that he can get.

With Martinez, however, the late return could present a bit of an issue.

More positively, Inter will already start getting players back from international, duty as early as tomorrow.

Dutch duo Stefan de Vrij and Denzel Dumfries both play their last match of the international break against Ireland this evening. And Kristjan Asllani can return after Albania face Poland this evening.
