Inter Milan are gearing up for contract extension talks with superstar trio Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella, and Federico Dimarco.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are keen to extend the deals of each of the trio past the end of June 2026.

At the moment, none of Martinez, Barella, or Dimarco exactly have outstanding contract situations.

As Tuttosport note, all three of the trio are currently under contract with Inter for the next three seasons.

However, for the Nerazzurri’s part, they’re aiming to secure these key players’ futures well beyond then.

Martinez and Barella are both 26, whilst Dimarco will turn the same age during the fall.

All three of the trio are key parts of Inter’s spine. They all started in the Champions League final last season, having each played a major role in the Nerazzurri reaching that far.

Inter Milan Planning Lautaro, Barella & Dimarco Contract Extension

Martinez is one player who Inter certainly want to place at the centre of their project.

This season, the Argentine has inherited the captain’s armband from Samir Handanovic. That is a reflection of the fact that Martinez is now a real leader for the Nerazzurri, both on and off the pitch.

Martinez has also gotten off to a blazing start to the season. He has already scored five goals in just three Serie A matches.

Martinez’s agent has already confirmed that he is expecting a new contract extension offer from Inter in the relatively near future.

The Nerazzurri will be ready to try and tie the Argentine down until the end of June 2028. And he will naturally receive a pay raise to reflect his status in the team.

It is a similar situation with both Barella and Dimarco.

Inter will offer both of the two Italian international duo longer-term contracts with higher wages.

Inter want all of Martinez, Barella, and Dimarco to follow Hakan Calhanoglu and Alessandro Bastoni who already signed long-term extensions this summer.
